The incident involved one vehicle and happened during the early hours of this morning (Sunday, February 2) on an unclassified road between Llithfaen and Pentreuchaf, near Pwllheli.
The incident, involving a black Skoda Octavia, was reported at 1.52am and was attended by police, fire and ambulance services.

In a statement released today, lead investigator Sergeant Raymond Williams said: “I and my team offer our heartfelt condolences to the young man’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.”
He said that the road was closed “for almost six hours while the initial scene investigation took place” and explained that the force is now looking for witnesses to come forward.
He added: “Sergeant Williams said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who may have been travelling on the road between 1am and 2am.”
