A Tipping Point contestant made history last night when he managed to win a massive double jackpot of £20,000.

In a first for the popular ITV game show, contestant Clive successfully knocked a double jackpot counter out of the machine with his penultimate counter.

Clive fired up drop zone four and loaded the first of three counters into the Coin Dozer style machine. After failing to shift any counters over the tipping point, he loaded up his second counter to try and bag the jackpot token, plus a X2 multiplier.

He chose drop zone four once again and carefully slotted his counter into the machine before knocking those jackpot tokens over the line and walking away with a whopping £20,000.

Overwhelmed with the win, the sweet man welled-up with emotion as he hugged show host Ben Shephard, the Mirror Online reports.

As the token was tipped out of the tray Ben screamed: “Clive you’ve done it! I can’t believe you have done it!”

Gobsmacked Clive replied: “I am not over! Thank you so much!

Ben added: “Clive, I have stood in front of this machine over a thousand times, the only time that has happened was when it was on a tray that didn’t get taken!

“You have won £20,000 Clive!”

They hugged before Clive shared: “I am welling up!”

“How does that feel Clive?” Ben asked.

As he kept threw his head back to stop his tears, he said: “Fantastic!”

Stunned Tipping Point viewers took to social media to have their say on the historic moment.

One wrote on Twitter: “20K in his pocket and made us all cry, great work Clive.”

Another added: “Clive seemed like such a lovely man. Chuffed to bits for him.”

A third said: “Aww what a lovely bloke.. great win.”

“Oh Clive i’m so chuffed for you! Enjoy it all,” a fourth wrote.

Tipping Point airs weekdays from 4pm on ITV.
