A police investigation has been launched following the sudden and “tragic death” of a teenager.
Emergency services were called to reports of an unresponsive teen at a house in Thomas Street, Holyhead on Friday at 6am.
Despite attempts by the Welsh Ambulance Service to revive her, Jade Mitchell, an 18-year-old from the area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
North Wales Police DS Arwel Hughes announced on Tuesday a police investigation had been launched and officers are keen to trace Ms Mitchell’s last known movements.
He also revealed that following enquiries, a local woman was arrested on Monday on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs.
He said: “Following the tragic death of Jade, a police investigation was commenced. As such we are keen to trace Jade’s last known movements.
“I would be grateful if anyone who saw or communicated with Jade on Thursday the 18th of June 2020 or early into Friday morning the 19th of June 2020 could contact North Wales Police on 101 quoting incident number Y087325.
“The coroner for North West Wales, Mr Dewi Pritchard Jones has been informed. Following enquiries, on Monday the 22nd of June, a local woman was arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs.
