The Duchess of Sussex will “want to fight back” after Piers Morgan’s verbal attacks on her, a Palace insider has claimed.

And Royal biographer Angela Levin predicts there will be an increasingly “spiteful” verbal “boxing match” between Meghan and Morgan, reports The Mirror.

It comes after Piers appeared on US TV shows and doubled down on the claims that led to him leaving Good Morning Britain, in the wake of the Sussex’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Angela told TalkRADIO’s Mike Graham: “I think it is a bit like a verbal boxing match.

“Each of them wins a round and the other one comes back and is more spiteful or more difficult or says more things.

“They have one thing in common and that is neither of them likes to lose out.

“So they carry on punching away.”

“I imagine that the lawyers are working out if there is a sentence or a verb or something that Piers said that they could jump on.

“So I think it is a bit precipitous actually to say she hasn’t come back yet.

“She is a very determined woman, heavily pregnant or not. She will want to fight back.”

Piers recently claimed he had received messages on behalf of the royal family thanking him for “standing up” to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

He also said he has the “universal support” of the British public, despite his comments on GMB sparking more than 50,000 complaints.

Last week, another royal biographer, accused Harry and Meghan of betraying the royal family and causing lasting damage to the monarchy.

Penny Junor said Harry and Meghan’s accusations of racism and other allegations made in their explosive Oprah interview “lobbed a huge bomb into the heart of the institution”.

The first anniversary of Megxit – when the Queen’s grandson Harry and former Suits star Meghan stepped down from royal duties and stopped using their HRH styles on March 31 last year – falls on Wednesday.

Ms Junor said: “When Harry and Meghan left a year ago people were surprised and disappointed because they were a great pair.

“Harry was a hugely popular royal and Meghan was a great asset to the family.

“A year on, I think a lot of people are really angry and think that they have betrayed their family and lobbed a huge bomb into the heart of the institution and sort of taken a swipe at the UK as well.”

The Sussexes’ two-hour televised sit-down with Oprah Winfrey at the start of this month left the royal family facing one of its worst crises for generations.
