Panini – the name in the world of football collectibles – have agreed a new partnership with the Premier League.
Despite being synonymous with the production of stickers albums for decades, Panini’s licensing – until today – has never covered the English Premier League.
Now, rolling out in stores nationwide, their new collection ‘Football 2020’ is set for release and will be backed, according to conveniencestore.co.uk , by a multi-channel marketing campaign.
Cost & Where To Buy
‘Starter packs’ – which include an album and five packets of stickers – are priced at £3.99. Sticker packets themselves are 70 pence each.
Along with the official Panini site itself, starter packs will be available soon in most of the usual retailers including the likes of Amazon and Argos.
Managing director of Panini UK Mike Riddell said: “We are proud to launch Football 2020 which is the first ever Premier League sticker collection published by Panini.”
Riddell continued: “Football 2020 is eagerly awaited by all true stickers and it is one to treasure for posterity.”
Panini was first created by two Italian brothers in the early 1960s. With revenues close to one billion euros, their license rights cover dozens of leagues across multiple leagues and tournaments in football and multiple sports around the world.
The ‘Football 2020’ collection will feature a total of 636 stickers “based on top sporting talent from across all 20 league clubs”.
