Live updates as ten people on trial for spate of burglaries across south Wales

The trial is due to start of 10 people accused of a spate of burglaries across south Wales.

The seven men, two women and youth have all denied conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal.

Five have also denied aggravated burglary.

The 10 are:

  • William Joyce, 24, denies conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal.
  • Patrick Joyce, 21, denies conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal, and aggravated burglary.
  • Christine Joyce, 59, of Millstream Way travellers site, Swansea Vale denies conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal.
  • Daniel Joyce, 36, of Millstream Way travellers site, Swansea Vale denies conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal, and aggravated burglary.
  • James Joyce, 40, of Llangyfelach, Road, Brynhyfryd, Swansea, denies conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal, and aggravated burglary.
  • Keiran Joseph Joyce, 59, of Millstream Way travellers site, Swansea Vale, denies conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal.
  • Keiran Joyce, 28, of Mynells Gorse travellers site, Golf Course Lane, Leicester, denies conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal, and aggravated burglary.
  • Terrence Casey, 20, of Mynells Gorse travellers site, Golf Course Lane, Leicester, denies conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal.
  • Mary Connors, 23, of Rhossilly Avenue, Rumney, Cardiff, denies conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal.
  • And a youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons denies conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal.

The case is due to be heard at Swansea Crown Court by Judge Keith Thomas.
