Eight people are set to go on trial accused of murdering a teenager whose body was found in Barry .

“Fun-loving son and brother” Harry Baker, from  Rumney  in  Cardiff , was found dead at at 5.50am on August 28 last year at Barry Intermodal Terminal in Wimborne Road.

Nathan Delafontaine, Raymond Thompson, Leon Clifford, Lewis Evans, Leon Symons, Ryan Palmer, Peter McCarthy, and a 16-year-old boy all deny his murder and are due to stand trial at Newport Crown Court on Monday.

The case, before Mr Justice Simon Picken, is expected to last for six weeks.

Delafontaine, 32, Clifford, 22, and Symons, 21, who do not have fixed addresses, denied murder at a plea and trial preparation hearing in November .

Thompson, 47, from Hillary Rise in Barry; Evans, 61, from Merganser Court in Barry; Palmer, 33, from Aberaeron Close in Barry; and McCarthy, 36, from Bassett Street in Barry, also entered not guilty pleas, as did the youth defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons.
