A driver was pulled over by police after setting off 32 speed cameras on a motorway – blasting through 60mph roadworks at more than 80mph.

Police say the incident happened in thick fog between Junctions 14 and 15 of the M6, and when they stopped the driver the ound the car had two illegal tyres and was not insured.

The CMPG posted on Twitter: “M6 J14-J15 BMW stopped due to activating 32 speed cameras at very high speeds in @StaffsPolice.

“Whilst we were following it we recorded its average speed of 83mph in the roadworks 60s in thick fog.

“Driver detained & BMW seized no insurance & #PG9 x2 bald tyres. 5419”

People were quick to comment on the dangerous incident, with some trying to calculate how much the driver would be fined for getting so many speeding tickets, reports MEN.

One commented: “32 cameras, plus 2 bald tyres, and 83mph. I reckon that’s 105 points at least.

“By the time he gets his license back the only place he’ll be able to drive is an internal combustion engine theme park.”

Another asked: “Do you ever test driver for IQ?”

“Lengthy ban and ridiculously high insurance to pay IF they have insurance after all those points go on to licence,” another said.
