Police have confirmed that a body has been found in the search for missing 20-year-old Connor Boggon.
Mr Boggon, from Merthyr was last seen on Sunday, February 23 at around 4.30am in the Dowlais area.
Police launched an appeal on Sunday asking for his whereabouts and described his disappearance and lack of contact as “out of character.”
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “We can confirm that a body of a man was located on Monday (24 Feb) in a wooded area of Cyfarthfa Park.
“Police were called by a member of the public who made the discovery at approximately 4.15pm.
“No formal identification has yet been made but the family of missing man Connor Boggon have been advised and are currently being supported.
“An investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is ongoing and a post mortem is due to be carried out later today.”
