Geordie TV presenter Ant McPartlin is set to give his ex-partner over half his £50million fortune – but she has dropped hints that their split is far from resolved.
Ant McPartlin could end up paying estranged wife Lisa Armstrong some £31m as part of a divorce settlement.
The Britain’s Got Talent host, 44, has been trying to formally end his marriage with Lisa, 43, since January 2018, reports the Mirror .
Relieved Ant was said to be thrilled to have finally settled their bitter divorce, in London earlier this week.
However, Lisa has cast doubt on the reports as she took to Twitter to deny the claims.
She told her 143.2K followers: “Nope a load of nonsense AGAIN…. you’ll be hearing from my lawyers AGAIN…..”
It was also claimed Lisa would remain in the £5million mansion in West London where they lived together as a couple.
The couple were reported to have permanent shared custody of their chocolate Labrador, Hurley, who was at the heart of their legal struggle.
It has followed the exes’ fierce battle since they went public with their split in 2017.
Just months later, Ant found love with PR powerhouse Anne-Marie Corbett.
A source told The Sun : “Ant and Lisa agreed to settle and sign their divorce agreement during a productive and civil meeting on Tuesday.
“Ant made a very generous settlement that works out to be more than half of everything that he has.
“He is delighted because it means he can put what has been a very difficult chapter in his life behind him and move on.”
The Mirror has approached Ant McPartlin’s representatives for further comment.
Lisa and Ant were together for 23 years.
They were married in 2006 and remained so for 11 years until they announced their separation in 2017.
The pair were divorced in a 30-second hearing last October.
It was claimed their relationship crumbled because of Ant’s relationship with alcohol, their gruelling work schedules and the couple growing apart from each other.
Ant has since moved on with his life as he found love with Anne-Marie.
The couple have shared two dogs since moving into their love-nest together.
I’m A Celeb… Get Me Out Of Here welcomed Ant back as a presenter after he took a year’s hiatus from hosting the show.
Holly Willoughby took over in 2018 when the embattled star stepped down from his TV duties following his drink-drive arrest.
